In 2018, the Neel Resling Halpern Foundation had put together a strong and exciting program with the dance performance based on Susanne Bier's award-winning film "Love You Forever." It is the young but forward-thinking Black Box Dance Company that was behind when Susanne Bier's tragic and heartbreaking love story became modern dance.
Together with the famous soloist and composer Pernille Rosendahl, they took the stage at Takkelloftet in the Opera on Holmen.
The Neel Resling Halpern Foundation, which supports talented dancers and choreographers based in Denmark, had put together an exciting program for the Foundation's Gala in 2018:
17.30 - 18.00: Arrival in Takkelloftet's beautiful foyer
18.00 - 18.30: We gathered for a unique meeting with Pernille Rosendahl and the renowned choreographer and artistic director of the Black Box Dance Company, Marie Brolin Tani. Together they told about the work behind the dance performance. As a special guest, the film's main character, Marie Sonja Richter, also attended this meeting.
18.30 - 19.30: Reception where this year's Halpern scholarship was presented to the dancer Anna Stamp Møller who danced in the evening's performance. Then there was a subsequent silent auction where our guests could bid on our sponsors' gifts.
19.30: Was called in for the performance "Love you forever" at Takkelloftet Blev der ringet ind til forestillingen ”Elsker dig for evigt” på Takkelloftet
From the Foundation's board, we send a big thank you for all the support and backing throughout the year, and especially for making our scholarship presentation and gala possible. It was a great pleasure for us to share this very special Gala program with our guests.
